FORT WORTH, TX — An Hispanic American man is under fire for fleeing to Mexico after finding out ICE was all over his neighborhood. Texas resident Ted Cruz, who is of Hispanic descent is facing harsh criticism after fleeing ice while leaving many others like himself to fend for themselves as ice took over nearly the entire state of Texas. Another report claims Cruz was in such a rush to flee ice in his neighborhood that he left his dog Snowflake home alone.
“This is the first time I can recall a Hispanic man actually fleeing the U.S. and heading to Mexico because of ice,” said one person familiar with the ice situation.
Later, Cruz apologized for his action, “It was obviously a mistake.”
“It was obviously a mistake and in hindsight, I wouldn’t have done it,” Cruz said, adding that it was a heat of the moment decision he now regrets. “the suffering and hardship other Texans had experienced.”
